Dr. Jessica Spradley, President of Care Based Leadership, LLC, explores with participants six aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion. Each session will introduce a topic, engage participants in content and provide opportunities for interaction. Each session builds upon the previous one.
Session 1: Introduction to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This session will serve as an introduction to the series. We will focus on building a foundation of knowledge and common language between participants.
Session 2: Equality and Equity This session will explore the similarities, differences, and the need for both equity and equality early childhood.
Session 3: Microaggressions This session will examine what microaggressions are, their impact, and learn tools that can be used for disruption.
Session 4: Gender This session will explore multiple aspects of gender. Additionally, we will discuss pronouns and additional aspects.
Session 5: Actions in our current social context. This session will explore social action that is happening around the state and how you can get involved.
Session 6: Building a DEI plan for your organization. This session will bring the DEI series to a close. We will briefly review each session before creating an action plan for our individual centers, policy councils, executive boards, etc.
This DEI Track is scheduled for 29-31 March, 9:00am-12:00pm each day. All sessions will be recorded and available in the LMS for registered attendees.
