Webinar Description:

Now that you have your new statewide salary survey, what does your organization need to do?

Wipfli CPAs and Consultants, proud partner of PHSA, specialize in working with Head Start programs to take the next steps in compensation review and plan design. Join national trainer, Shelly Schwane, to understand how the PHSA Compensation & Benefits Study is one key piece of the puzzle for determining the comparability of your agency’s wages to the external labor market.  A well-rounded view of wages paid locally, statewide, and nationally allows your organization to better attract and keep quality employees. Wipfli assists organizations by identifying and researching these markets to provide the most impactful data possible.

Join us for a 90 minute training opportunity that is full of real-life examples from a best practice process in meeting your grant requirements for employee compensation. We include the following topics:

  • Key guidance from OHS’ Wage Comparability 101 resource (attached), identifying comparability as only one of the important elements of an organization’s compensation plan.
  • Discussion of internal equity to establish the relative worth of each position in the organization through Equal Pay Act compensable factors such as responsibility, risk, and job conditions.
  • Why and how to combine external comparability data like the PHSA Study and internal equity data in establishing a salary structure that reflects the compensation philosophy and unique elements of your organization.
  • When to call on a third party to assist in developing your organization’s compensation system. Compensation is an emotional topic, and it’s important to separate the people from the positions!

This is a free webinar, open to all PHSA programs.  Registration and log in information will be provided prior to the webinar.
